Before we pray
Plain words about what this is and what it is not. Please read them before you request a session.

Spiritual, not medical
I am Tony Tiedemann, a Catholic layman. I offer intercessory prayer. It is a religious practice.
This is prayer. It is not medical, psychological or psychiatric care. It is not a substitute for your physician or for professional treatment.
Please continue the care your doctors recommend. I do not diagnose any condition, and I will never advise you to stop or change any treatment.
I am not a licensed medical or mental health professional. These sessions are not licensed by Arizona or any other state.
Not a sacrament
This is not a sacrament and not a liturgical service. It does not replace a priest or the sacraments: Confession, Holy Communion and the Anointing of the Sick. Only a priest can hear your confession or give the Anointing of the Sick.
Not a Church program
This is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Catholic Church or any diocese or parish. I pray as a Catholic layman, on my own.
No promised outcome
Healing is God's gift. No particular result is promised.
Listening prayer
Anything that comes to mind in prayer is offered only for your own discernment. It is never a diagnosis or a prediction.
Touch
In person, I may ask to rest a hand on your shoulder while we pray. It is a simple sign of praying together, nothing more.
I do this only with your permission. You can say no, or stop, at any time.
Your choice
You may pause or end a session at any time, for any reason.
Privacy
I keep what you share private, except where the law requires otherwise or a life is in danger. The privacy page explains what the forms collect, where it goes and how long it is kept.
Children
A parent or guardian requests any session for someone under 18 and stays for the whole session.
Cost
Prayer requests are always free. For sessions, I reply to you personally. I never charge for prayer.
Crisis
In an emergency, call 911. In crisis, call or text 988. It is free, confidential and open 24/7. Outside the US, call your local emergency number.
In crisis? Call or text 988. In an emergency, call 911.
